This is an interesting knife I saw while walking the aisles of a gun show a year or so ago. I saw a rack full great looking knives that were very well finished and this skinner caught my eye as deer season was approaching. The maker is E.T. Whitmire from Rock Hill South Carolina. The gentleman had a selection of them for sale and indicated that the maker had passed away some time back. I haven't been able to find much at all about him but I was told he worked pretty much exclusively in 440C.

It's a great size. I never ended up using it at all and just recently I made a right hand sheath for it which I will include in the sale. Handle material is high polished canvas micarta. Over all condition is very good with light scratches here and there mostly due to the high polish given by the maker. The knife fits great in the sheath; the retention is just about perfect, though I am by no means a professional sheath maker. It's 1/8" thick stock and has a number 67 marked on the tang. The ergos are fantastic on this knife.

7" Overall
3" Sharpened Edge
1/8" 440C
