Hey guys, some of you might remember Earl.

Well, Earl went ahead and carved his name into this Schrade barlow, and after years and years, it has come to my doorstep. By carving his name into this old knife (probably new at the time), Earl gave this knife a spirit of its own!

To quote a friend, "Earl embodies the spirit of old knives everywhere!". A spirit I feel the need to share among my friends here in the traditionals forum!

So begins Earl's travels around the world! I think it would be really fun to see how many people and places we can get Earl to visit! I only have two requests, if and when Earl reaches your doorstep, take a picture with him around where you live, and remember to oil the joints!! Then ship him on his way to another traditionals forum regular!

Before packing him up for the first leg of his trip, I took Earl to the Sarasota Bay for a dip in the Gulf!

We are arranging a parade with a Brass Band to welcome Earl to Vancouver!!!
Safe trip, Earl!!
I am sure NZ is on the itinerary, Duncan!

Earl would definitely be welcome for a stopover here in Oz (If he can squeak his way through customs)! We'll try not to get him too drunk before taking some photos and sending him on his way.

This should be a fun thread!

What a great idea! :D  Love the pics so far :)

I'd be happy to carry Earl through the streets of Yorkshire on my shoulders!

Earl's welcome to crash on my couch in Brooklyn anytime he wants. Just glad to see he wasn't butchered on the chopping block.

Maybe everyone can add their special penny or token at each stop - that might be fun. Looking forward to the worlds travels photos.:)

What a fun thread! Earl is welcome here in Wisco anytime, happy to show him around Badgerland.

Great idea! This will be a great thread. Reminds me of when my kids did "Flat Stanley" in school.

I'd love to take Earl to the Pacific ocean here in Oregon! If he visited this summer he'd get to experience Crater Lake as well. That would make for a cool picture. :)

Love this idea & I too am glad to see hr didn't get dismantled lol.

Come May, I expect to travel from the US to Germany for a wedding. May be a cheap way to smuggle Earl into the EU....
