This stuff was great to work with. No fumes, no sanding, just a little light scraping and it all peeled off after about 16 hours sitting in this stuff:

It gets good reviews (Citris strip). I like that it doesn't smell bad and doesn't burn your skin. I just works way too slow for my liking. Of the non methylene chloride based strippers out there it's the best i've used. I generally like Krud Kutter or Klean strip products for their speed, don't get it on you though.

Say you had a Kraton handle, or just cheap rubber, how close could I get that stuff to it before it starts to melt, would blue painters tape be ok to mask off?

It's good stuff but just a little slow. I just did my BK-2 and it came out good. I have a BK-7 soaking in it right now. I have something else planned for BK-9.

Citristrip! good stuff. Used it to strip an old church pew, took a few days but man It turned out nice.

For knives though i prefer good ol CHEMICALS......aircraft paint stripper. Spray, watch the paint bubble, brush off with wire brush, wash with dishsoap, and hot water, good to go.

about 3 minutes
