I currently have a Leatherman and it is awesome. I however am looking for an additional multi-tool and would love to know what everyone uses for EDC or BOB. Thanks!

I EDC the Leatherman Skeletool in my work shorts/pants, and use it frequently. On my Mongo I carry a Charge ALX with a couple bit kits. Honestly, I've carried tools from other manufacturers.....and I always go back to Leatherman. There's a Gerber in the wagon's glove box, another one and a SOG that I gifted to friends....even the Wingman & Sidekick(?) are great tools for the $20-30 cost. I have a Wingman that goes in my Becker sheaths frequently.

Leatherman wingman here. A great tool with a box cutter, and small enough to feel comfortable in your pocket. I have this on me whenever I leave the house.

I have or have had about a dozen different Leatherman tools . My favorite is the Surge. I carry the Skeletool in my pocket daily, the Surge is in my daily carry pack. I've tried the Victornox tool I didn't carry for it. The Gerbers were big when I was still in the Corps. They were great for their one hand opening, but that's where my love for them ended. A BK24, Surge and a BK9 in your pack and you should be ready for most everything.

I've been enjoying my new Leatherman sidekick. I wish it had scissors, but I have a style cs on my key chain to cover that.

The wave seems to be the name I hear about the most. Someday I'd like to upgrade to the wave to keep in a pack because it has so many tools. I don't need all that in my pocket on a daily basis though for my modest needs.

Carry a SAK Farmer everyday, fantastic knife. Also another vote for the wave, really like the black version. It has a little crimp tool in the pliers that is pretty handy for stuff. Also dont underestimate something like a SAK Classic. Its small but mighty, its something you can throw in your pocket, put on a keychain, put on as a zipper pull, etc etc and have just in case. Cheap too... Just a random thought.

Here's the only pic I have of them together with Becker Content.... This picture must be over 2 years old now but you get the drift.

Love the Farmer. One of the best knives ever IMO...

and here is my wave back when it was newish being used as a Skytrack Key.

I carry a Leatherman Surge on my belt. I have the bit extender and bit kits for it, and it comes in extreamly handy. I also have a SAK Traveler in my EDC bag.

I've got too many already and I think the surge (now that it has replaceable wire cutters) is in my future :D

I usually have the skeletool and the micra on me now but for years it was just the skeletool 90% of the time its all you need and when its not you can carry a bit kit and still not need a sheath and its still light in the pocket. Now for the rest of my other addiction... In my rush6 bag is my charge al (I love that thing) and in my all hazards nitro bag is a wave, if I have my bk11 kit or my bk17 the wingman is in those if its the bk2 kit its the sidekick and finally I've got an old wegner from boy scouts (not the boy scout one) in my micro maxpedition

my two younger kids have the style ps and my wife has the squirt ps4 on her keys, I haven't used it for any task but she has and likes it

If I had to pick one it would be the skeletool with a bit kit and extender its much more friendly for tasks as it doesn't have the heft of the bigger multi tools and fits in more places

In my BOB I have a Leatherman Super Tool 300, big tough tool with all the basic stuff I felt necessary. On me for EDC I put a Victorinox Rambler on my keys, really small with much better features than their classic key chain knife.

I love my Wave! Ive used quite a few different multi tools and never really liked the Gerbers.

I used to love the LM Wave but over the years, the pivot tend to get loose and there will be some play hence I pass it to another friend.

I was issued with a SOG Powerlock while I was in the military and it has been like around 8 years. The pivot is still great and the gear systems really help in the gripping force. The exposed gear when the tool is kept is a very good self defense tool!

Currently I have like at least 4x SOG Powerlocks which I spread them all in my home, vehicles, workplace and my EDC bag. Another thing I like about the SOG is that you can replace broken tool or change the configuration of the tools in it. I have a set that I swapped out all the knives or cutting edge tools inside for my overseas travelling usage.

I have a LM Skeletool too and its a minimalist setup, the LM Bit set really works well with it. Got the LM extender and its really a good combo in my EDC kit. Only problem with the Skeletool is that the plier tips flex when I need to twist or bend something in certain task I do. The major plus for the Skeletool is the size and thickness of the 154CM blade!

EDC - BK17, SOG Powerlock, LM Skeletool CX/tool kit, LM Style CS
BOB - BK9/BK16, SOG Powerlocks

For those that would like to get the Gerber tools, do take care if your is the beadblasted version. they built up rust easily then those blade version.

Never really paid attention to the names. I'm out of town and just looked, I have the wave in my pack.

Swiss army knife. Idk the actual model, but it has a short and long blade, bottle and can opener, flat and Phillips drivers, awl, toothpick and tweezers. I 100% leave the house with it.

I EDC a Wave.
Keep an old Supertool in the car.
Used to like Gerbers but the three that I have had all grew legs and walked away. Got both LMs as gifts...very, very pleased with them so far.
When it comes time to get another, it will be a Leatherman.

The only "Multi-tool" that i carry and use daily is one of my Hex Hawks. And i mostly only use it to cut stuff. I have a Leatherman Rebar.... But dont use it very often at all.
