EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Many thanks friends! And yes, RyanSean, it has been a dream living in the area and exploring the outdoors for the past 4 years. When people from back home can't understand why I move out here I just so them the pictures and they get it. Next season I think I'll try backpacking in and camping up there.
So beautiful. I don't think anyone will get it unless they have a love for nature or the outdoors like you seem to. It's very easy to appreciate something so beautiful but experiencing it first hand is another world entirely. I feel that way about the mountains here in NC, there's almost nothing more beautiful to me. I wish you well and hope you do get to camp out and backpack more up there!

Posting for yesterday, as by the time I got in last night relaxing and self-medicating a foot injury was more of a priority. Hiked up to a glacier fed lake in the mountains with my son yesterday, a lake known for it's stunning water color. The hike was about 11 miles altogether, with a 3,400ft or so elevation gain. We explored around the lake for a couple of hours as well. There were some fun rock fields to scramble across, berries were plentiful and as plump as I've ever seen them, and views were spectacular. Had an amazing day.

We were in the clouds pretty much the whole way up. I was a bit concerned that we wouldn't be able to see across the lake when we got there. The trail is fairly steep, but according to my son we averaged 4.3mph on the way up.

However, my worries were unfounded, as soon enough we arrived to this view (note the glacier in the background). Actually I couldn't have asked for better views, with the clouds opening up just enough to not obscure the lake, while still reminding you that you are in fact in the clouds.

Blue Lake?

Blanca...That's the first I've heard of Blue though. Just looked it up and it's definitely on the list of to-do's now
I was going to guess either Blue or Blanca. I’m pretty close to Blanca but haven’t been yet. I think I’ll get up there now after seeing your pictures. I’ve been to blue lake a couple of times and it is absolutely amazing. It’s right on the other side of Washington pass and had the most incredible views of liberty bell, the spires, etc. Anything in the North Cascades is my absolute favorite. Off the beaten path and have more of a chance running into a bear then people.

Thanks! Not the easiest one to carry but definitely my favorite one to shoot. 😀
Agreed ! I like my Horsehide Crossbreed IWB in about the 4 o’clock lower back position with a heavy duty crossbreed belt. Very comfy and I’ve learned over the years not only a good holster makes a difference on comfort but a belt equally does to .
Recycled picture from about 4 years ago with my G19 gen5 . Every glock I’ve ever owned I can’t miss with and thats a good thing lol. This was just at close distance combat range with a little point shooting and also using the reset target shots.

Nice group! Ya, I agree a good belt really helps and as much as I love my Sigs I always shoot my glocks just a little better.

What model Cheburkov is that?? Is it a custom, because I don’t recall ever seeing anything quite like it.

Gotta tell ya’, I’m really diggin’ it. To quote another member… “i w0nt 1 now”, lol.

But seriously, I love it and I want one….now. Gorgeous knife.
ferider ferider has already identified his knife for you as a Medved/Bear. I've looked at that one a bit as I'm interested in all things Cheburkov and now have four of Alex's knives which I rated right up there with my Shiro's. I also really like larger knives and all but two of my numerous Russians are 95 mm or greater.

Having seen most all your posts here I know that your taste runs to mid-size blades so you should have a look at ferider's comparison post over at the Cheburkov Channel to get an idea of how the Medved stacks up next to an XM24. I've got one of the latter that I carry some, but not a lot as it's kinda big, even for me. That Bear is sweet indeed, and I've yet to run into anything from Workhop Cheburkova that didn't appeal to me but it's not a big knife--
it's more of a REALLY BIG KNIFE.

Edit: I posted before I caught up with the thread today, so I now see ferider's posted those pics over here as well. Still, my opinions stand despite my redundant link.

“I’ll go witcha!!” 😁
Stayed with knives from the CRK family this weekend…because that’s what the voices told me to do, and ya’ never argue with the voices.

I absolutely love the character of the inlay on this one. That is one lucky snag…you don’t see that type of grain in a box elder inlay often. 😎
