I really like this but would probably not like what it cost lolAfter seeing @HOKIE_FAN 's StarTac posted a couple days back I got mine out to handle as I hadn't carried it for a while. I'd planned on my XM18 for yesterday so I went with that figuring the WC 'Zaan would go today, but there's been a bit of Python Micarta chatter over at the Bears' Den so I got my F3 out, touched up the edge, and pocketed the old snake again. Tomorrow for the StarTac for sure.
Thanks for the compliment, friend. No, it wasn't cheap, but not anywhere close to 4 figures either--a threshold I've worked to stay well away from with all my Shiros.I really like this but would probably not like what it cost lol
ill bet but those scales are just killer--luv emThanks for the compliment, friend. No, it wasn't cheap, but not anywhere close to 4 figures either--a threshold I've worked to stay well away from with all my Shiros.
This picture has convinced me to quit trying to keep the blades of my GEC’s in perfect condition. That looks much better.
Thanks again. Shiro F3's are great in hand to begin with and the Micarta takes the grip to another level. The only issue I have with the knife is the natural tendency of the open canvas finish to easily pick up the oil from my hands and darken with use, thus obscuring the handsome pattern and coloration. The good news is that it's easy to give the grips a quick cleaning with hand soap, warm water, and a nail brush, followed by a blow dry to chase out any water from nooks and crannies. The old snake seems to like the attention and the warmth.ill bet but those scales are just killer--luv em
