Hi,
I just received a BRAND NEW replacement for a Genesis 1 that broke after I tried adjusting the side-to-side bladeplay.
I just had the first Genesis 1 for 10 minutes and the axis screw broke when trying to tighten it by hand! with a torx bit.
I posted on the forum and got hold of the new address/telephonenumber of EDI and called them.
They concluded I got a "first run" Genesis 1 that had this design problem. They asked me to send it in for replacement.
I did and asked if I could upgrade the beadblasted blade for a Tin-coated one, I offered to send them my creditcard number for the price difference.
Carol F. Locket from EDI followed up on the replacement of the Genesis and was very helpfull keeping me up-to-date on when it should arrive.
Guys (and girls) my NIB Tin coated Genesis 1 is smooth has a solid lockup and I did the spinewhack test only leaving dents in the workshop-table, I wore kevlar glove liners from Brigade Quartermasters!.
I can recommend EDI as they stand 110% behind their product.
Their new address is:
18102-P Chesterfield Airport Road
St. Louis, MO 63005
tel.: (636)532-7222
Cheers from Holland,
Bagheera
