I was wondering if any of you guys had up to date info on the ESEE dave canterbury knife (I believe it is called the DC6) ?
Any info on ETA ? Pics ?
I'm very interested in that knife
Thanks

Last I looked on ESEE website a few weeks ago, I read this:

"Yes, we are producing this knife. We were suppose to work out final details at Blade Show with Dave but he got jammed up and couldn't make it to the show. Since then, all has been finalized and we are moving forward. No release date yet."

When I saw his knife I kind of liked the design. Esee no longer shows it on their website,so I kind of wondered if they decided to remove it from the line up.

To the best of my knowledge Canterbury fabricated some parts of his military record.

I also am waiting for some of the new bushcrafty knives from ESEE. I was hoping that they would have been available at BLADE, but last I heard was probably this fall.... just in time for christmas shopping.

Canterbury is a good woodsman and I have always liked him.

He also most humbly apologized for his lapse in judgement... let it go folks.

I'm not really interested in getting one, but I wouldn't mind seein the final product.

Dave does have some pretty straightforward ideas, likes to follow the "Keep-It-Super-Simple (KISS) principle...

Never heard it that way before. Is that the PC version of Keep It Simple, Stupid? ;)

I don't care if Bugs Bunny collaborated with ESEE on that knife. I like it. It's an old frontier-ish kinda blade made with modern technology and that really appeals to me.

And I had no idea who Mr Canterbury was until recently.

What is "pulling a Strider"?

Oh boy here we go again...

Do a search for "Strider" and "Stolen Valor"
Start here:

Then lets get back on topic...
I really liked Dave, and I'll miss him and Cody. Probably won't watch the show anymore.
I'm looking forward to seeing the ESEE DC knife when it comes out. I saw a couple proto pix and it looks like a fine blade design!
