After reading another post here I decided to make a new thread. ESEE Knives no longer uses the name RAT, RC, RTAK or TAK as any trademark for our knife line. Our knives are still designed by our company Randall’s Adventure & Training and manufactured by Rowen, but not called anything other than ESEE knives (pronounced S E). We have requested that all of our dealers also remove any reference to RAT Cutlery or RAT from their web sites since we no longer use these names on our knife line. Currently our trademarks include the name ESEE, Junglas, Izula, Izula-II. We also use the HEST and DPx marks that are owned by Robert Young Pelton.

Here's an explanation that is on our web sites:

Randall's Adventure and Training® manufactured (and continues to fully guarantee) R.A.T. Cutlery knives (RC-3, RC-4, RC-5, RC-6) built from 2007 until 2010. We have changed the name of our company to ESEE Knives. The only thing that has changed is the name. We now market our knives under the ESEE, Izula®, Junglas® and DPX Gear brand names. Randall's Adventure and Training® does not manufacture or warranty RAT knives built by Ontario Knife Company (RAT-3, RAT-5, RAT-7, RTAK, TAK and Model 1 Folder). These knives are manufactured by Ontario Knife Company even though they were designed by Randall's Adventure and Training®.
