Hello,
I am considering making an acid stonewash on a ZT0640
I have watched some tutorial about how to do it on blades, but I am not sure about how to deal with the titanium scales.

mis it possible to do that on titanium?
Do you have recommendation?

I do not have experience etching titanium, but I have etched blades and stainless steel frames, and have anodized titanium.

Titanium doesn't react to etchants the same way steel does. It's far more resistant (it's often used for internal prosthetics, after all). Stuff like ferric chloride probably won't do much.

I have seen decent results from people using OxiClean to darken titanium; perhaps you'd want to look into that route. It gives it more of an aged look.

People often use Wink's Rust Remover to prep the surface of titanium before altering its color. A few seconds in that stuff will strip the oxides from the surface, leaving the titanium more open to changing.

Before you do any of this, though, protect the important surfaces, if there are any, with nail polish. That is, protect locking faces, spots where backspacers or standoffs meet the metal, etc.; places where removing material could alter the geometry or the lockup of the knife.

Best of luck!
