This beautiful sword features a Tasman Oak grip and scabbard. Both are covered with top quality bovine leather. Leather has been liberally treated with mineral oil, dubbin and neatsfoot oil. Scabbard is very close fitting. Sash is of aniline sheepskin leather. End florette is of sterling silver with enamel inlay. Sword is of hidden full length tang construction. Insets are of engineering brass.
A beautifully light weapon modelled on Sassanian examples. It is oriented towards thrusting but still retains cutting ability.
This exquisite sword is eight years old hence the great price. It has been lovingly cared for and regularly oiled the entire time. This is definitely not a 'beater', it is a finely crafted implement.
