Ever considered stag handle grips on your becker ?

A piece of stag big enough to fit most Beckers would be hard to come by, and severely costly if you could find one. You could use jigged cowbone scales that would look cool, though.

The only two Beckers that I can see as feasible to make stag scales for would be the BK11 and BK13.

I've been hiking about doing a custom BK13 with stag scales for a while now... Hmmmmm.....

Ive seen two BK2 's posted here with horn handles pinned on. Think they were both elk. Definitely could be done if it was something you wanted.

Found one of them with a quick google search.

I saved this photo a long time ago. It's my all time favorite Becker knife. Have a nice looking rustic sheath to go with it would be awesome.

That is just gorgeous!! I'd love to have a set of those. And maybe a nice shiny nickel-plated revolver with matching grips...

Should clarifiy for accuracy that the scales are not horn. Horn is a covering of keratin (similar to hair and nails) over the top of bony projections on an animals head. Other than the pronghorn, they are not shed, but continue to grow throughout the animal's life. Antlers (Sambar stag, elk, or whatever) are actually bone, and are shed and regrow annually.

A stag handled BK-15 would be delicious. It would make every hair in Ethan's beard jump for joy.

I didn't know that. I have a set of wide Indian Sambar scales I bought probably 25 years ago down at Bob Engnath's shop down in Glendale for a bowie blade he ground for me. I never finished the knife, and still have the scales. They may be big enough for a tweener. I'll show them to you Thurs.

I did it on a 14. I would be neat on a tweener. An elk shed would be plenty big to do one on a full sized becker.

Jroden5446 made some nice scales for his 17 out of sheep horn and walnut:
