Thought youse will like to see this. this is from two years a go, couple days after the 4th of july.
made a pilgrimage to a place i use to visit a lot to learn the amerindian language, Salish, on the flathead reservation.
Theres a monk that tends the grounds, but i didn't meet him. i plan on going back. there must be quite a few in the U.S. this one is in Arlee Montana.
the dali lama apparently refused to bless the garden, but they still use it for many proposes.
i prayed to Jesus here, until i go to the orthodox monetary in Arizona i suppose, seeing as how i am Orthodox Christian.
hope you enjoy the photos, took some dedication to copy and past each file address.
first photo is of the "animal's trail" (road sign in english kootenai and salish).
unfortunately theres a truck with honey buckets under the bridge when i was finally able to snap the pic. kinda gives it character
students from some big university in Mongolia came to study the crossing a couple years back so they can make one in Mongolia
its saved quite a few critters lives. pretty cool stuff
(as i listen to Khusugtun, ethic mongol music) powerful stuff. the Steppes fascinate me, so does Tibet.
those fortress monasteries in Bhutan are aweomse!
