Anyone have any experience with Dan's Whetstones. They can be found at Sierra Trading Post for very little money and are Arkansas Stones. Just wondering if there is any difference at all in stone quality. Why are these so cheap? They have a 3 Stone combo kit(the triangle type thaat lie horizontal in a box) $16.50. Are these worth anything? I am new to sharpening and looking for my first set of stones. Would this make a good starter?

I own a couple of Dan's stones. Black Hard Arkansas (Extra Fine) is my favorite. Use it often.

I have a 4" (approximately) black stone from Dan's--works very nicely, good feel.
