This is my first review but hopefully not the last. I hadn't seen another review of this knife and hope the pictures and few 'feel' details I can give help.

The knife feels great in the hand. Very sturdy and no noticeable blade play. It is very thin. It takes some getting used to when you are used to using/carrying slightly thicker knives like I do (see photo next to a CRKT M16-14CF). But with a little handling, the slimmer profile is actually very refreshing. The balance of the knife is much better that I imagined when I first placed the order. It just feels right. I haven't had a need to use it tony great degree yet. But will be making an effort to over the next few weeks.

Upon initially taking it out of the box, the action was very stiff. After opening and closing a few times it loosened right up and feels great now. One handed opening is a breeze. I clipped the knife to my dress pants pocket and it was almost not noticeable.

Here are a few specifics from the site where I purchased it. xtremeknives.com

Length Closed: mm 150 (5.91 inches)
Blade Length: mm 120 (4.72 inches)

Blade Thickness: mm 3 (0.12 inches)
Knife Thickness: mm 11.5 (0.45 inches)
Blade Steel: Bohler N690 cobalt stainless steel
Blade Hardness: Rockwell 58 HRC
Blade finish: MIL-C black coating
Grinding: Flat
Serrations: No
Lock: Liner lock
Handle: Anticorodal aluminum
Clip: Reversible

EDIT - Adding my own measurement of liner lock thickness. .059"

Actually looks quite 'sexy' if I dare say so.

I have had not too good experience with Extrema Ratio. This one is a liner lock but is it possible for a pic of the folder (opened) so that one can see the lockup?

Thanks for a great review complete with good pics including comparison pics. Hope to see more of your reviews in the future :)

Well Italian keep their reputation of artistic designers!

Thanks, for review!

Where you get it from?

Thanks, Vassili.

Thanks for the review. How strong is the liner lock? If you can snap a photo of it, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks... I will taake a pic of the liner lock shortly. It is kinda sexy... In a manly kinda way! :)

Here is a closers pic of the lock and an overall pic of the handle between the liners. *see the top post for these pics*

I can tell you it feels really secure. I have had knives that felt flimsy. This is not one. but that doesnt mean it will not turn that way with some use.

I can also say it did not come as sharp as I would like it. I will be working on it tomorrow with the spyderco sharpmaker.

I got it from xtremeknives.com.

Thanks for the review. Please send me an email regarding your source. I'm interested in checking one out. Thanks in advance.

Liner lock's quite beefy. How thick do you suppose it is? If you don't have a measuring device then perhaps can you compare it to another common/popular liner-lock folder in the market for comparison sake?

Thanks for the great pictures. I kinda like it to the point I might wanna get one now :)

I do have a set of calipers. I will measure it and post in a few minutes...

EDIT - It looks like it is 0.059

Can you measure edge thickness as well?

Thanks, Vassili.

Please clarify edge? If you mean blade thickness, there are some measurements I took from the companies website in the first post.

If thats not what you are talking about, I would be glad to do it. Just put in lamens terms for me...

In fact, I am sitting here fondling the knife and have the calipers on the table next to me. So fire away!

I am talking about thickness of the blade right where edge starts - this is most important parameter for cutting performance. Thiner it is - easy knife do cuts and also easy to sharpen.

Thanks, Vassili.

Gotcha....

Measuring right above where the sharpened edge starts, it .035". Thats as close as I can get to the beveled sharpened edge.
