Well well well, I’ve gotten myself another Fallkniven. This time I purchased a TK2 after I was able to use a 15% off coupon at [a non-BF member dealer] (made the knife $195 shipped). I realize this is not a very popular blade, and I also realize I am one of the few that seems to truly love 3G steel, so I had to have this knife.

This is a slicey blade. It is very light in the hand. The handle and its texture very much reminds me of my MB10. The fit and finish is done very well on this knife and the edge came very sharp with no noticeable micro chips. I still gave it a nice sharpening and strop job to suit my preferences (I never trust factory edges to last). The blade is the same thickness as my HK9 but has a much steeper taper to the tip. I am not lying when I say this is the most nimble fallkniven I’ve ever handled.

It came with the standard F1 zytel sheath which is my preference. It fits in the sheath well and only has minor rattling (less than the F1 and HK9 in same sheaths). I will of course continue to update this review with actual use and make sure to update it over the course of the years of my ownership (as I’ve done my other reviews).

Here’s some shots quick:

Thank you Daniel. I agree, they are pricey. I don’t buy often, but when I do, I make sure it’s something I really want. I searched for years before I got the deal on my Modern Bowie. Got it for $375 I think at the time. Just have to be patient.

Nice grab.......Love my Fallkniven....... Down to one😥.....Need to rectify that when finances permit...
Just some beautiful blades and 3 g is some great shit....👌👌👌......I love LamCoS too.......
Looking forward to seeing this thread grow.........

The guy linked below makes Fallkniven fixed blades.......And some other BEAUTIES.....👍

Falkniven is awesome. First one was the F1, second one the S1 and finally a U2. F1 falls a little short for some tasks but otherwise a beautiful knife!

Love that TK2, but... what is it meant for by Falkniven? Cleaning game?

Yes. That is also my intended use for it. I butcher my own game and the hk9 is amazing for skinning and does very good with butchering but I wanted something a bit thinner at the tip and a little longer for cuts. This fit the bill.

Which one are you down to J jfk1110 ? I want to know the chosen fallkniven that survived the purge lol.
Sorry don't know how I missed this for a week....🙄

Just a numbered Fallkniven volcano......#80 of the first 100 that were the only ones numbered.......

I LOVE IT.... It just doesn't get as much love as it should....... 😉. Just a damn sexy blade...
No pics handy😥.....I'll carry it next week for you.....👌

J jfk1110 , man I love the volcanos! They are crazy expensive and hard to find so I never picked one up. I love the upswept blades on them. Very attractive knives.

I got it when they came out in 2012......Just got my tax return so even though it was $570. back then I said The HELL with it...😉.

I delete pics often so I'm lucky to find this from right after I got it and the Roselli axe.....Crap pic sorry🙄

Holy crap! I would have never guessed it had a stick tang. That’s wild. I mean, I tend not to baton with wood handles anyhow so there really wouldn’t be hard use going on if I had one, but still, not the norm I’m used to seeing with Fallkniven tangs

I must confess that I always saw Falknivens as workhorses... and if I want to treat them like such, I am better off sticking to the F/S/A1 family. Classic laminated VG10 and Zytel sheaths works for me. The fancier ones are way to rich for my pocket and I feel I wouldn't use them as I use. I am talking about the PRO versions, and any wood handled one.

This reminds me that I have to get myself an A1 one of these days...

I don't baton really so not an issue.....Chopped a tree or two with it.....It works but I have other tools for that job😉......I was shocked myself.at the tang.......😱.........He did a good fix.on it though. And the handle too.......Its just a damn SEXY blade.....😜

Wonder how its holding up now....🤔
