Facing strange problems with Logitech MX5000 keyboard... or Bluetooth.

Hello!
Recently, I bought a Logitech MX5000 Remote keyboard kit. Cool toy (review will follow). Yet I have some problems with it.

During the installation I ended with simultaniously installing Bluetooth drivers and SetPoint software (version --2.46c) (the manual could have been abit more descriptive...) For a couple of days everything worked fine, after it keyboard gave up connecting automaticaly. Manual connecting worked fine.

After I downloaded SetPoint upgrade (up to 2.60) -- this fluke dissapeared. Later I upgraded it to 3.01. It was fine, untill today.
Keyboard was detected by Bluetooth, but not by SetPoint. I got abit frustrated, browsed through Logitech support site I tried to re-install SetPoint after a Clear Restart.

Result was abit frustrating. Keyboard and mouse are working and detected by SetPoint. Yet Bluetooth Icon in a tray is red and states tht "No Bluetooth device is connected" even after a reboot. Makes me feel uneasy.

Shall I do anything about it and what?

Thanks Beforehand!!

Edited to add.
Would have asced it on a Logitech forum, yet it somewhy shows "Error 403" when I try to enter Haven't posted ever anything (so ban is not an option).

My cousin was building a computer for his friend and he bought the same setup and he has been using it until his friend buys all the parts. Anyways he has had the same problem he just stopped using the keyboard and used his old mouse. All he uses is the mouse. Ill ask him and maybe he did figure out the problem.

You cannot simultaneously have your keyboard and mouse connected to SetPoint and Bluetooth. It has to be either one or the other. You need to remove either the Set Point software or the Bluetooth drivers.

i have bought and returned this keyboard three times....I love the feature set, but have not had ANY luck getting the thing to work properly.

Logitech was no help, and i ended up going back to a wired mouse and keyboard for home use.

Remove Bluetooth drivers altogether? Would the reciver still work? Sorry for certain misthrust, but this sounds quite... strange.

You can try to uninstall the software that comes with the keyboard and mouse and then reinstall it paying attention to what you are installing and how.

Try installing it using only the USB HID drivers first. If that works then continue with adding the Bluetooth drivers.

You should check out the MX 5000 forum as well. It seems that you are not the only one having problems connecting.

Ill ask him today he is coming over

there's a quick fix, no?
uninstall the setpoint and install the v2.6 drivers
if it ain't broke, don't fix it

After browsing Logitech forums I decided to... simply remove all the "extra" stuff besides SetPoint. Media Life (hated it's trend to appear every time I insert a CD or DVD), Bluetooth software, Desktop Messenger, ets. Less stuff-less conflicts-less troubles.
Untill now -- everything works fine. Hope it'd keep up like this.

Thanks to everone, who took time to reply!

P.S. I haven't fogotten about review promise!!
