I am not entirely sure except that some companies do not allow their wares to be advertised for lower than a certain amount. I assume Buck is one of them. So this factory authorized sale would have included prices lower than they usually are at most retailers. That said, I noticed just that in this sale. I took the opportunity to pick up a new 2019 Buck 112 in Ebony for less than the 112 has been in recent times,

I too have been eyeballing the ebony 112. Guess it is time to get one.
Factory Sale = Marketing gimmick to reduce inventory.
 
I think Buck is having their semi-annual sale in June. So that's probably why the "Factory Authorized" sales. Everyone is having a sale on Bucks, I got emails from at least 4 different companies....
 
saw that term used at some dealers....bucks kinda using a map pricing setup now through their dealers. so buck has to authorize discounts and appears they are.


also saw buck email on 30% off fathers day sales in place now on their website.
 
Buck started a Min advertising price
Inorder to adverties below that Price
It has to be artherised by buck to do so.
