Ok so I've decided to take my $200 and spend it on a fishing knife. If SHTF, I live near a coast and figure most of my meat consumption will be from fishing. I figure I need a good durable fish filleting knife. Maybe one that can go through fish bone as well. I'm really liking my Fallkniven F1 & A1. I heard the F2 is a fisherman knife but really having seen any good reviews on the knife or videos on youtube. Anyone here have one? Or can someone recommend a real good fishing knife?

You have an amazing amount of choices in that price range, You may not want a "cheap" knife but I love my mora classic for fishing around 15 bucks and if I drop it in the water and lose it i just buy another. I also have used it for very dirty and hard use chores like cutting wood and thick plastic floring with no issues. The best part is that I can get it pretty sharp using a brick of cinder block which could be important in your scenario.

I have the F2 and really like it. There is an Australian guy who's done a few vids on YouTube. He's a fisherman and uses the knife for cleaning and filleting fish. I use it primarily for deer and hog hunting, but also for fresh water fishing (trout and bass). I think of it more as a boning knife, because it's got a more rigid blade than a traditional fillet knife. The VG-10 steel stays super sharp and the handle is very grippy in wet conditions. It's pretty stout given it's design. I had a kydex sheath made for it, but the one that Fallkniven sells with it is Ok, I just don't like kydex for the blade and nylon loop for the belt. I carry it with me on all my hunting trips. It would make a great field dressing knife for any critter smaller than an elk and a good fishing knife for any fish smaller than maybe a 6-8 lb. salmon mostly due to the blade length.

I could and would have brought any Fallkniven I wanted, save the NL special steel Tg hunter. I chose and have recently received a new Fallkniven model F2z. I believe this is a under-rated and often greatly overlooked knife. While Fallkniven designed it to be a general purpose field fishing knife, they also categorise it as a hunting knife and explain it to be a good utility knife as well. I can attest to this and more. The F2 is the perfect size (4.3" long blade, 2.5mm thick blade); its incredibly light (approx. 50grams) so it is compact and easy to carry. In fact The F2 is way lighter than the Fallkniven F1, which is claimed to be the best compact survival knife in the world! I find I use the F2 more than any of my other knifes when camping, hunting and for general purpose utility tasks! With the F2 I keep coming back to to the concept of how 'effortless' it is to use. 'It cuts anything easily and precisely' (Fallkniven), and quickly. I highly recommend the Fallkniven F2z!
