I have 8 fallkniven knives and love them all but I missed out on getting a g1 garm before they stopped making them. I was just on their website and see they are making them again with an updated steel, cpm20cv. Their price us 2302 sek which I see comes to 223 dollars US. They had 921 in stock so I'm sure they will start showing up soon at all the online knife stores. Am eagerly awaiting.View attachment 1861561View attachment 1861562

Love falk stuff, I have the MB10 in lam cos and an A1 pro in lam cos. Sooooo nice and I love that the MB is finished by Ichiro Hattori, don't know if the A1 is.

Very impressive looking and I like the sheath especially. Kydex I assume? Thanks for sharing. Daggers are special to my eyes.

After a bunch of purchases, I told my wife that the custom I received yesterday was the last knife I would buy in quite a while. She was, correctly as it turns out, skeptical.

Because I forgot my secret craving of a Fallkniven folder. Not sure which one, just need a 3" blade or less and no flippers. So I am saving my pennies and will be frequently their site. Great thread.

With belt loop. So tactical!
I agree. A better sheath could have been made. Not more tactical... More practical, indeed. For a fixed blade, the belt loop is the entry level solution, IMO (probably the less expensive, too). Otherwise, the knife is aesthetically perfect. Just not in love with the molded plastic handle. It works great (I have it on a Kolt) but it just doesn't look the part. The fact that it is on the smaller side (3.6" length) could make a perfect EDC out of it. Although, the stock seems huge (4,5 mm / 1/5" ?). Despite the flat grind, good luck getting some cutting action out of this (sometimes it's just useful, in an EDC).

Looks hollow-ground to me. But good luck getting good cutting action out of any dagger, really.

Eeeeh... Looks hollow ground to me, too. But the Fällkniven site says it's flat ground. So...
This said, a dagger can be a good cutter (not filletting fish grade slicer, but still). This one, here under, has a slightly less than 1/8" stock and is a pretty nice cutter. Blade is 3.6". The grind is slightly hollow (I asked for it especially, but it hardly feels) :

On another note, the V42 (made by Case and Böker) was also asked to be hollow ground to maximize slashing ability from the start (being a very narrow blade, I guess the "hollow" is even harder to feel). I'd be interested to sharpen one and see what it can do. Not so keen on buying currently so it won't be soon.

I've got one of their go folders. It's absolutely excellent I highly recommend it! Just wish I had the stag version.

honestly don't like the steel for this offering... I'd rather see a 14c28n version, for toughness...
you want a dagger to have toughness over edge retention (at least imho)

it would also hopefully make them half the cost, I'm just not interested in this at all for the current pricepoint
