So I did it, I probably shouldn't have but I have been eyeing this knife for a while. What convinced me is a gentleman did a review of this knife. Everything said in his review is spot on. Very happy with it so far. Thanks for looking.:D
In the third pict is a spyderco caly 3.5 just as a size reference.

That was one of the videos that convinced me to get one in August. The other two videos showed how tough the big Fantoni HB01 is (see the thread: Bill Harsey "tactical" folders). I was so impressed that eventually I got the HB02 with the 3" blade. Tolerances on both are amazing like CRK Sebenza.

It is smooth right out of the box. Just feels rock solid. I know (rev devil) would like this folder if he doesn't have it already.

Yes, smooth, tight tolerances, tough and BIG. The size of the HB01 becomes apparent in the following picture...

From top to bottom: Benchmade 810BK Contego (CPM-M4), Spyderco Military (CF/M390), Zero Tolerance 0200KW (154CM), MicroTech Socom Elite (S35-VN) and Fantoni HB 01 (CPM-S30V).

Looks almost like an Emerson to me. I really like the jimping in the back looks very grippy, and the blade shape is very Italian. You're right RamZar that knife is huge

Nice knives, yeh it was a hard decision between the hb 01-02 . If they had one with a 3.5 blade that would be ideal.

I was afraid the 02 is a lil small, and they didn't have black in stock. All in all I am happy. It's a very quiet lock up. Pretty neat. Thick liners.

For most, a middle of the road HB1.5 would be ideal with a 3.5" blade. As is, HB01 is great for weekend activities and HB02 for daily EDC.

I have an HB02. it is one of the best folders I have at any price.
Fantastic (Harsey) design, fantastic materials and construction.

I know, I'll probably end up getting the hb 02 sometime this year also. We will see how it go's.

I got the HB01 instead of the HB02... but the decision was easy as I also have the Fantoni 'Hide'. If I didn't have the 'Hide' then I would probably also have gone for the HB02... but then again, maybe I will anyway! ;-)

The Fantoni 'Mix' sort of fits the bill as a HB 1.5 but it doesn't seem to get much play on the forums. I think it is the replacement for the 'razionale' with quite a few upgrades to the specs. The 'razionale' was a popular model for Fantoni although a lot of 'steel' snobs didn't like the earlier versions.

Congratulations Krav. They are great knives. I'm in rehab now after going a bit nuts last year. Over that period I ended up with the HB01, HB02, folding Hide, and the fixed blade Cut. All well made solid knives. No more for awhile. Enjoy it. Mike

I think it's less a flipper and more a semi-guard to prevent your hand from slipping onto the blade.

I had the Ranger Green HB-01 and everything said here is true of mine. This is just a marvelous knife. I hated to have to sell it and at some point I hope to get another one. I only regret I didn't pick up several when Beretta was blowing them out a few years ago at $100 a piece.

think about getting a hb 02 - those fantoni folders Look great! True about the 3,5 inch blade though

Just got my HB01 in CPM s125v. Set me back almost 5 hundo. Big folder but it's solid and excellently crafted.

Dont think my pic is showing up :(

Have you seen the rehandled hb01 by bison knives? That carbon fiber, Ti takes it to the next level.
