Favorite Disposable Pen?

We seem to devote plenty of attention to the high-tech, permanent, high-quality tools and gadgets we use everyday.

But what about the cheap stuff? For example, what's your favorite disposable pen?

I prefer fine, detailed lines. Ones that an architect or a penciler would use. I give a major thumbs up to the Uniball Roller Grip micro, .5mm. $5 for a 4-pack.

If this post is too dorky, please let me know. :)

I like medium bic sticks...

Cheap, last a good amount of time. They dont normally dry out.

Though the company has ties to france, the body of the pen says USA. ALOT of others say JAPAN. :D

Pentel RSVP. They have the little cushioned grip. Another pen that I like is the Zebra 301. They're not quite disposable but only cost $3 for a twin pack at the local Rite Aid.

I use the Pilot BPGP-10R Fine pens only....don't have any other pens....i've been using 'em for years ....

Favourite pen of all time!

......Why use a disposable?

My choice is a beautiful green Waterman ballpoint bought in a shop in Picadilly Circus / London by my GF.

you mean you dispose of your cross 18k gold pens???

come on...this is a thread about disposables....there're other threads on expensive pens...

and larry
disposables because you can dispose of it....and you can rough it up....

and you don't mind lending it to people....

i have a set of waterman pens that i don't use...i still prefer my pilots...

expensive ball point pens are just the same as disposables....you still have to buy the refills......and they don't really write that much smoother than the cheap disposables... i've tried using parker ballpoint pens and waterman and others and it still can't write as smooth as my pilot....

just a few of the advantages of using a disposable:

1) they're cheap
2) they're usually much more comfortable as they've got rubber grips and all...
3) you can stab someone with 'em and you won't feel the need to take it back....
4) you don't need to go through the hassle of changing ink cartridges....just open the box and take another one out...

fountain pens...that's different...they're a work of art.....a cheapo fountain pen just ain't worth it..it feels like you're scratching the paper....i'm still bloody p!$$ed my waterman's tip got bent....

Zebra F-301. Metal construction. Fine point. Decent looking. About $1.00 a piece in a 10 pack from Sam's Club.

I don't think this thread is "dorky" at all. It's a fine question, and one that most everyone has formed some sort of opinion on. Personally, I like the Zebra 301 (?) fine points. Steel barrel, and a big big plus for me- the steel pocket clips. I do not carry pens once the flimsy clips break on them, and that happens to a lot of pens I would ordinarily really like. Although I do think it's a shame to throw them away; I wish refills were more economical and more readily available.
I hope someone starts a thread like this but instead of "favorite", asks "most durable".

I use a cheap Parker fountain pen @ home. My dad's Parker 51s sit in a box. In my pocket is either a Uni Ball Fusion, Pilot needle points or someother roller ball

My sincere apologies. I guess if you don't add half a dozen winking smilies there are one or two people who don't get the fact that it was a joke meant to reflect the topic of the thread.

Okie dokie

Pilot P-700 Gel Ink pen. I love the way it feels when I write with it. Believe it or not, the only pens I like writing with better than this are high-quality fountain pens.

The Zebra 301 is what I like. I have found the refills at Wal-Mart, so that helps alot. I use the ink up, in about 3 weeks. I have started to put some heat shrink on my pens to mark them as "mine". I have co-workers and customers that use the same pen. :)
