I have been going back and forth recently between the Leatherman micra and a SAK alox rambler. Im wondering if I am missing out on something else that is great, so, if you don't mind sharing, what is your favorite keychain knife/multi-tool?

The Victorinox Manager II is my favorite of that genre. Or the Midnight Manager. Check it out.

For something a little bigger, consider the Leatherman PS4. Though it may be a bit big for a keychain.

I currently use a Wenger Esquire and a gerber shard one piece tool. But I have a micra in the mail so that may end up on my keychain instead..

The leatherman style CS is also pretty nice.

I tried several of the small models by Victorinox and Leatherman; Classic, Rambler, Ambassador, Micra, Squirt. But it's the Midnight Manager that won the battle and it's on the keyring for months now. For me it's the perfect keychain tool.

For the longest time it has been the LM Squirt but I got a LM Style CS for Christmas and it seems to be doing the job just fine. I find myself using the scissors on my key chain tools about 99% of the time.

I have a bunch of things on my keychain. As far as multitudes go, I have a style cs. I real like the scissors but what really dis it for me was being to take it off my keys and use it. That's why it replaced my micra. Because I always hated having to hold a bunch of keys when I used it. I the tweezers to be a nice touch as well.

a toss up between the Alox Classic or the Micra- I really like them both BUT I'm looking at that "Style" - and once and a while I carry the Squirt s4

I replaced the small keyring on my keychain tool with a slightly larger one and then attach all the separate key systems I need on my keyring to a very small metal carabiner thus making it easy to detach, and re-attach any item on my keyring. For instance, car keys, home keys, work keys, and multi-tool all go on their own rings.

I don't care for Juices , or Squirts ; toy pliers don't do it for me . I do like the Vic. Rambler Manager and MiniChamp . Since I discovered Ramblers , I have no use for Classics .

Classics are however a splendid gateway drug into the knife world .

My favorite micro multi tool is the Mini Bear Jaw I have. I like it for the pliers which I find quite handy.

Depending on what else I am carrying, my paired keychain multitool is either a Micra or Rambler to supplement what is lacking in my "primary." Lately I have been field testing a PS4, hoping for an all-purpose auxiliary, but so far finding both pliers and scissors too small for some of the minor fixes that come my way. Too bad, because otherwise I like the little gadget a lot, and I must admit having cut some serious wire without damage to the cutters or loosening the plier jaws.

I'll give the PS4 a fair chance to prove its utility, but will probably go back to the Micra. Regardless, the Rambler is permanently in rotation.

I have to say the cheapie Gerber Shard I got for Christmas has been used more times that I can count.

As a new dad, there are a plethora of screw-fastened battery doors to open/shut. The philips head is the perfect size for that stuff, and i always have it on me.

Also, buy the time i get that crap together, it's beer-thirty and the opener makes short work of the caps:p

Used to be a Vic Classic, then a Leatherman Micra for the actually useful scissors. I've updated to a Leatherman Squirt S4 on my EDC keychain and am liking the external access to tools. But the point of the scissors on the S4 are not as thin/pointy/snippy as the one on the Micra. I guess it's a toss up between the Micra and Squirt S4 for me.

HikingMano, that black thing on the right looks like a keychain fire steel. I'm interested, what brand is that?
