Favorite soda/liquor combo?

mmmmm.....nope....

I haven't mixed good booze with soda since I was in high school...lol. Back then tho I did like Yukon Jack and Dr Pepper. I know...I know...makes me shudder now too

I don't drink too much anymore, but I used to enjoy Black Velvet and Coke!

I don't mix anything with Maker's Mark. However, in Germany I tried Radlermass - a mixture of Weißbier and lemon soda.

(won't make GB&U comments here about vanilla vodka and rootbeer....;):D)

Right now, and currently two deep: Rye and ginger-ale. Damn good combo. Getting hard to find my favorite Rye though... Rittenhouse BIB is best, followed by their 80 proof. Just picked up a bottle of Old Overcoat... err Overholt. Not as good as the Rittenhouse, but doable. There may be better Rye's than Rittenhouse, but the price points for both are awesome. Rittenhouse ended up winning a bunch of awards at blind taste testings against MUCH higher priced Ryes.

Also like one of the GOOD mixer bourbons (Maker's Mark, Buffalo Trace, Woodford's Reserve, Wild Turkey 101) and diet Coke with lime.

I was a bit older than high school when I quit mixing sugar in the alcohol. Guessing I was about 25.

For the last 30 or so years it's just scotch, neat thankyou.
As I've gotten older I've been able to afford better scotch. Old Tom T. was right. (about the whisky, anyway.)

Heh... I was introduced to it a few years ago... makes a nice bed-time drink, especially since I work nights and sleeping during the day can be a challange.

Asbach (German brandy) and Coke. But I haven't imbided that in 20 years. I guess a mojito would count since it get a littel spritz of fizzy water.

My last drinking period, it was Amaretto and coke drinks or Boston Iced teas (a Long Island, but the fifth shot is Amaretto versus tequila).

BTW - many people don't appear to realize that an Long Island has 5 shots and it most definitely does not come out of a single bottle.

Jim Beam and Coke.
Jim Beam and Ginger Ale.
Jim Beam and Ice.

The more I drink the less it gets mixed.

Seagrams 7 and 7-up

Jim Beam and RC Cola

Knob Creek and a splash of water.

Oh, and I had a Jagermeister and Red Bull last year...Wide awake drunk I was.

Van Gogh Espresso Vodka on the rocks. A delight that is 8o proof, and tase just how coffee beans smell! Delicious!
