I now have 2 spyderco knives,a native 5 lightweight and a meadowlark 2 by byrd. I have to say I've been very impressed. The native 5 is a good knife, but I like the meadowlark better. I have thought of trading the native 5 for another spyderco, what are everyone's thoughts and suggestions

Looks like you like spyderco a little bit.
I am very impressed with the ability of the knives. I'm on a tight to no budget right now so I'm gonna be in the budget arena for awhile. The raven 2 is a good tool also. I like the ergos and the blade steel

Out of over 50, I can't say that have a favorite Spyderco, because each one has unique characteristics that I find appealing. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought them in the 1st place.

I've had several, but only kept 2.

A Jess Horn sprint run in ZDP-189/420J2 laminate with burgundy FRN, and the newer Baby Jess Horn in VG-10 and G10.

Not much of a Spyderco guy at all, but these models spoke to me, so I kept them.

I suppose that if I had to choose one, it would be a PM2. I currently have two PM2s, a Gayle Bradley, a Delica, a Tenacious, a Manix 2, and a Sage 1.

Yes! I love Spyderco, they are one of the premier knife companies globally, and #1 in steel. But they cannot rest on their accomplishments.

My budget is shot right now too, but things will open up.

If I had the money right now or could do some trading I think the 3 I would narrow down to are the pm2,manix 2 ,or the tenacious. I forgot to put the pm3 in there lol

Are you looking for something in the same size range as the Native 5? What price range? There are many options, depending on your individual tastes and budget.

My Manix 2 is my favorite so far, still have my PM2 and Tenacious. Traded off my Hap40 Stretch, Sage 5, and Domino.

Para 2 is hard to beat for functional purpose while maintaining a legal blade length in most areas. Ergonomics are fantastic in my opinion. I also appreciate the Southard, but would probably role with the Para 2 if I had to choose.

If you are not worried about corrosion, take a look at the Gayle Bradley 2. It’s fit and finish is fantastic and the ergonomics are neutral in hand that allows you to move around a bit. Plus it’s M4 which is a fantastic performing steel, and has a hollow grind.

That's a hard question.
I love my Pattada with N690 steel. I like the handle shape a whole lot. I'm not big on liner locks though I seem to have a ton of them because I like the knives they happen to come with.
. . . nah . . . my very favorite Spyderco is partly / mostly because of the M4 steel and the shape of the point of the blade (and it has enough blade length though the Pattada length is even better for me ) . . . and the winner is :
Para2 with M4 steel !
I just love this knife. I was using it at work today.
Bit of a problem finding one to buy; but isn't that the way with all the good stuff 'eh ?

My personal spyderco rotation includes PM2s110v, GB2, salt2 and native 5 LW maxamet

If i has to pick up only one it will be the PM2

But if you like the native 5 and it’s ergonomics I guess a Manix 2 lw can be a good trade off if you need a larger blade
