Recently purchased this 8" Hood Hunter directly from Fehrman knives. I thought I would try my hand at taking some decent pictures...not too bad:cool:

I really like this knife, its as if it was made just for my hand...the balance is also very nuetral. I am not very suprised at how well I like this knife, based on all the reveiws I have read on them.

I have heard nothing but good things about Fehrmans heat treat and tempering process of CPM 3V...and look forward to putting it through its paces. I dont know if it will chop through concrete unharmed:), but will certainly perform the way a knife was designed to flawlessly I'm sure.

I think I will start saving my pennies for a First Strike.

Good knife.
Good photographs.

Your knife is bigger than mine.
Your pictures are bigger than mine.

Coincidence?

Thats pretty cool. I havent seen that before though. You say its from the site? I cant find it listed anywhere. Did you talk to Eric directly ?

Any Fehrman knife is going to be GREAT! A lot of thought went into the Hood Hunter. You can even change the balance by putting weight under the micarta slabes.

That is one sweet knife! What kind of sheath does it come with? Kydex? I'd get a custom leather sheath for that bad boy as well! Great pics. :)

Leather sheaths from Fehrman are not an option for the Hood Hunters...not entirely sure why, so I went with one of their Kydex sheaths, and am very pleased with its construction...no complaints. I will eventually pick up a Spec-Ops sheath in the future...even if they have raised their prices:mad:
