Hi everyone,

It's been a long wait but the Legacy Prime Fell Beasts are finally ready. Below are details on the blade and how to order +options for next Wednesday Oct 2, at 7:00PM

On Wednesday at 7:00PM EST I will have 30 blades available and will be posting the sale thread in the knifemakers for sale area for fixed blades. Its first come, first serve. I am going to get a little crazy and do the first 30 of these at $499 with a free sheath. Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for your blade to be completed and shipped.

These are $605 --> $499 shipped CONUS with a nice taco style kydex sheath.

I want to start by saying, this model is a LIMITED EDITION. I have about 80 of these blanks that I will be able to complete and after that, this model is getting shelved. These are just too difficult and too expensive to make. The Fell Beast in 52100 will stay around but the Z Tuff Fell Beast with the fuller will be retired after this run. Also a quick note on fit and finish. These do NOT have a knife level fit and finish. This is an 18inX2.5in blade. Getting a pristine finish on a blade this big in a supersteel is just not feasible. These all have blanchard grinding marks, tooling marks, and grit marks on the bevel. Addtionally, the tang on all of these is slightly proud. None of this affects performance, but if you are looking for a perfectly finished blade, this is not it. If you are looking for a hard user that you can beat on and will last a lifetime, this is your blade!

That said, this model is really something special. I don't think there is a blade like this on the market currently. These are borderline indestructible, light weight, have a huge reach and chopping power, and also have a somewhat decent fit and finish.

As for the steel, Z Tuff is everything I hoped it would be. Even at 61RC, it has world class edge stability and the toughness is unreal. I've gone through 5 blanks in testing and haven't been able to break one. The stain resistance is also really good. If you like 3V, you will LOVE Z Tuff.

If you have never owned a Fell Beast, you have no idea how monstrous these things are. The Fell Beast will make your biggest chopper feel like a toy.
Have a Busse Battle Mistress? The blade of the Fell Beast alone is 2 inches longer than an entire Battle Mistress
Think your Carothers Behemoth feels almost like a short sword? The Fell Beast's cutting edge is roughly 5 inches longer.
Really went off the deep end and bought a Busse Gladius? The Fell Beast has an even longer blade, but weighs 15 ounces less.

The Fell Beast Legacy Prime

Sick of big clunky choppers that can’t cut and cheap @$$ machetes that will snap the first time you use them? Don’t worry, we’ve got the medicine. The Fell Beast is a hard use hybrid blade that bridges the gap between machete and big chopper. Made specifically for use in hardwood forests, the Fell Beast is the ultimate tool for when you find yourself in the thick of it. The Legacy Prime edition is the culmination of 10 years of development with the Fell Beast model. We’ve taken everything we love about the Fell Beast and maxed out the stats. With a fuller, high flat grind, skeletonized tang, and Terotuf handles, the Legacy Prime delivers serious chopping power and durability while maintaining quickness and balance in hand. Constructed from the toughest knife steel on the planet, the Fell Beast is ultra resilient and resistant to breakage despite its light weight and thin stock. Weighing in at only 24.5 ounces, this blade weighs less and carries easier than many large knives while packing devastating chopping power, reach, and quickness for clearing brush.

The timing is incredible as we have to go to Joplin for the VA again and I hope we return in time to be one of the first 30. If not, I guess I will have to wait for the Tyrant Bowie.

My next appointment is supposed to be sometime in November if the lab gets my dental bridge made, and then on January 10th for a cleaning. I'm really beginning to feel like the old comic character "the Sad Sack".:(

Glad to see the sale has gone well - most sold, but still some slots available. I was going to sit this out, as I still have an earlier model, but couldn't resist.

Are they all gone now?

If you can judge the quality of a product by the clientele, the signs seem to be good. There are a good number of buyers who know their big blades.

So thankful for how this sale went. I invested tons of money, time, and several sleepless nights over the last 5 months trying to get every detail on these perfect. I'm super proud of this run and can't wait to hear everyone's feedback. This was very much a passion project. I was told along the way multiple times to by friends and colleagues to make a more simple blade that would be easier to produce, but you guys know I wouldn't be happy with that. I always have to push the limit.

I told myself I'd sleep on it, and in the morning when I came back from my run and logged in, lo and behold, there were two left.

The only conclusion?

DEUS VULT.
I started to reply twice last night but thought if there are any left today I will.

Met up with Hunter today finally. I got to put my hands on these, and gents......you will find your money well spent. I am thoroughly impressed with the ergonomics and just how lively they are in the hand. Outstanding job bud.

It was great seeing you! I'm so happy with how these turned out. I think the balance, weight, and feel is exactly what I was hoping for. I can't wait to hear everyone's feedback once they have seen some use.

Wanted to give a quick update. I had a marathon grinding session this weekend and got all of these ground and tumbled. They look fantastic. These are going to get logo'd with my laser guy tomorrow morning and will start shipping this week.

Now...onto the fun part. Molding 30 something kydex sheaths
