For splitting big logs, I use an axe or a maul. For the smaller ones, I use the Busse Fat FFBM. Works great!

Your mistress is doing a fine job splitting those logs, thanks for sharing the pics!

That's what I mostly use my FFBM for, too. ;) Splits logs extremely well, and it's certainly fun to do. The mistress looks good stripped.

When I did it last year, I had a hard time trying to smooth out the grind marks in the choil with a belt sander. Wrong tool! I ended up getting the outside of the talon hole slightly lopsided. Live and learn. I still love the knife. Its a bit heavy to lug around, but its great for heavy duty work like log splitting!

Nice shots, the FFBM is my tool of choice for splitting firewood too. Much better for me than the FSH.

Yes, the Fatty rules in splitting and chopping. It makes a good Jeep or truck knife. It's just too heavy to carry around on my belt all day...pulls my pants down. But for serious heavy work, the FFBM is great.

Great pix! :D:thumbup: ....Talk about right tool for the job! :)
