Mr Phillip,

From that comparison pic thread, we really need a Gaucho (or a couple). A Brisket w black/orange, a black commando G10 or a Tangerine Shade tree w black/white. THIN as possible btw. 3/32 TT or 1/8 TT.

I set the Gaucho pattern out for Cody & Kyle to scribe earlier in the week.

Thurin did the heavy lifting, i just searched "longfellow" on the forum:D

The Gaucho really is a great pattern. The one I have is 3/32 and slices like a laser, but I really want one in tapered 1/8 later just because I like to error on the side of strength...I never know when another opportunity for some crazy experiment will pop up in the bush, and I will use whatever knife I have on me. So I tend to put them under more stress than most people. I would say I'd rather have tapered 5/32 with a high grind like my Woodsman, but I have never seen a 5/32 Gaucho. But to be honest, I have worked this 3/32 pretty hard with no ill effects at all, so I would be fine with 1/8 :)

I am really surprised that Longfellow is still around. Wish I could afford it, those don't come along often, and that's a damn fine example.
