How Fiddleback Friday Works

The rules are quite simple. Once the knives post, the first person to the checkout process gets the knife. There are no limits to how many you can buy. However, it may take you longer to put 3 knives in your cart than it takes 3 other people to checkout with only 1 knife. Unsold knives will stay here until Thursday of the following week. They will still be on the site listed with other https://fiddlebackforge.com/collections/handmade

Shipping

Our checkout accepts both PayPal or credit cards. In the USA, we are currently offering the options of USPS Priority Mail, USPS Priority Mail Express, or UPS options. International order are currently UPS only. Rate depends on country and are calculated at checkout. Taxes and Customs Fees are subject to your countries laws and will be collected from you upon delivery, if required. We ship next business day after purchase. We ship Monday-Friday unless there's a national holiday or something unforeseen occurs.

Who Dat?

Is this a new maker? I don't recall seeing this one before.
Ocmulgee Knife Co is Lee Dykes.

I met Lee a couple of months ago at the Georgia Knifemakers Guild meeting that Andy had at the Fiddleback shop (/Pop's). Lee is a relatively new maker that has been making some strides in his knife-making as of late. Andy and Russell encouraged him and I to get together so we could introduce him to you guys and start showing his work. Lee is a super nice guy, an up and coming knife-maker here in Georgia, and definitely deserving of some attention. Since he's an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman...his knives are what he likes to see in a knife for those roles. So they are very practical in design and very functional.

Based on what I've seen from his earlier work to his more recent work, he's making substantial strides in his knife-making, taking tips from several members of the Guild, including Andy ( Fiddleback Fiddleback ) and Russell ( C Cohutta ). He's off to a great start.

That's basically the idea we'll take in to the new website that's upcoming. We want to not only expand on promoting former Fiddleback apprentices (aka. Fiddleback Family) but we also want to carry some other makers you might not get to see because they fall outside of the "Fiddleback" umbrella. Essentially we want to help good people who are making good knives to succeed in the business. With Andy and Joey being more involved than ever in the knife community because of Pop's... I'm sure we'll have alot of great makers to show you soon. I have another up and coming maker coming soon...with more to follow once the site is ready to launch.

Would love to see a video on this drop 👀 😉😉 Fiddleback Outpost Fiddleback Outpost
Working on it!

It wasn’t the first tapered tang but there hasn’t been many of them listed through Fiddleback :)
Thanks for chiming in Amy. I remember not too long ago reading a post of yours that you had just acquired a jig for doing that and this one was the first I have seen. Great job on that blade, beautiful! 😉
