Hey everyone,

I searched the forum and didn't find any thread related to this, which surprised me quite a bit as I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who likes fidgetting with knives. So here it goes.

I just love using knives as fidget toys when I'm focusing or just watching TV, so I'm wondering what's your favorite knife to fidget with, and why? My preferred one for this is my para 3, I like that you can thumb open it, thumb flick it, or "spydie flick" it, and oh boy is that compression lock satisfying!! I also love my Gavko Thresher for its super smooth action where the blade slowly shuts closed, but it's less fun to open.

What is/are yours?

OTF autos are great for this. My EDC Combat Troodon is basically a $500 fidget toy that still performs flawlessly. It's funny, I carried my Ultratech today and was mindlessly firing it open and closed when I stumbled across this thread. snick-snack-snick-snack-snick-snack

Check out the Spyderco Smock too, it adds the flipper into the mix, and also the button-compression lock adds a kinda neat additional fidgety factor

guessing compulsive fiddling
is possibly a sign of nervous disorder
on the otherhsnd, practice makes perfect :-)

Artisan Proponent. The only knife I've ever owned that I can fidget with literally all day and not have any finger or hand hotspots. Flips open, flips closed and is just a fun knife.

I’m also rather fond of “playing” with the Para 3 LW every now and then. Manix is a close second.

That being said, fidgetability is something I don’t go out of my way for. It’s just a bonus. I still prioritize reliability and ergos.

I've had many, but the one that's got the most flips on it, is my Kizer 3452. Absolutely crazy smooth flipper. But my Spyder PM2 has many hours of "flicking" also.
