Been thinking of getting my dad a Filson wallet. Are they worth the price, and which model does anyone have.
Icarry a rayskin wallet ,but don't think it's Pops style.

I bought the full leather packer wallet. Superb quality. Loads of space for cards. Some people might not like the size though. Bigger than usual. That's why i love it.

It also wears very well. Once you break it in it looks so much nicer. Worth it in my opinion.

i have the bridle leather packer wallet

the leather is very stiff to begin with...but softens up nicely

it has held up better than any other wallet i have ever owned...in fact the card slots still hold cards securely!!!

they are made in the USA and have a lifetime warranty

I have carried a Filson Packer wallet for several years. I don't believe that I will ever have to buy another wallet.

Note: The large packer wallet can be a tight fit in some dress skacks and khaki's, although I have never had a problem with it in jeans. It is wide enough that it can be hard to get out sometimes. They make one of slightly less width, and if I were doing it over I might get the narrower one.

The Packer would be a good pickpocket deterrent, though.

I can vouch for Bosca wallets.
I'm on my second.
The first wasn't worn out, just wanted a different color.
Got a great deal on EBay.
That being said, I'd like to try a Filson wallet next.
But it'll be a long time before the Bosca wears out.

I decided to go with a Bosca bifold in Old Leather because ebags.com is having a sale, 10% off and free S&H. That makes it almost $20 cheaper than the Filson after shipping.

If you're looking for Bosca leather now is a good time to buy! :)

I went out looking at Flyrods two days ago and ended up buying a Filson bifold (not the packer, the regular)

WOW! $85, but the quality in the hand is just amazing!

I have an Orvis Battenkill wallet. It is great and guaranteed for life. I bought mine in 1998, this stiching started coming undone in January, I sent it in to Orvis and they shipped me a brand new one. Great wallet and fantastic customer service:

my prior wallet was the battenkill...it is much softer than the filson....the most comfortable wallet i have ever owned...i wore mine out and orvis sent me another one hassle free

i picked up the filson in the interim...liked it better ...and gave the orvis one to my cousin

Funny how my new Filson bifold (had a trifold before) reminds me of being young and seeing my dads bifold brown leather wallet...

Always funny how some little odd thing can bring back memories!

I've had a Filson twill packer wallet for about 7 months and it's a great wallet. Very durable and a very nice size to carry day to day. I usually cycle it with a Ghurka alligator hipster and a Louis Vuitton hipster.
