I've loved the look of daggers since I was a kid and the first knife my dad bought me was a Gerber Guardian in the early 80's I think. Since being a member here I've bought and sold a number of them and just couldn't be happy with them until I got these 2- finally....keepers!

They are the Dynamis/Winkler Revere and Koyote Knives Sgian Dubh..

They really aren't going to get used or carried much...but I like 'em!

And a few other double edges blades with them...they are- left to right- Dynamis Razorback, Randall Model 1-6 and Ironside Edge Works Shrike.

You're a man after my own heart... love dagger grinds, but yeah not really practical for anything that we'd normally do :)
Double edges are also cool - hard to beat a good doubled edged push dagger.

As far as penetration goes, hard to beat a Williams/Winkler HZT with the fine point.

Not my cup of tea. But, to each his own I guess. I like symmetry:

I had the HZK and there was so much to like about it...but I couldn't manage the handle. Still think sometimes of getting another and getting a different handle put on. Probably the best sheath I've ever seen also.

Some of the FS Daggers in that video clip look like repros from Peter Parkinson + Brent Sandow (knifemaker from South Africa, living in New Zealand)?

They are not reproductions. I've known Brent for over 30 years.

I mean they're not original FS Daggers from WWII (unless the owner has a time machine!) - and yes I know Brent too (I'm actually from Auckland) and he did a fantastic job on them.

Nice daggers! I'm admittedly not a dagger fan but I appreciate the design.

Ahh my apologies I got the wrong end of the stick and misunderstood what you meant.

Brent is originally from Cape Town and his late Dad was one of the early members of the Knife Makers Guild of South Africa. I visited him in Auckland in '16 and we see each other at the Blade Show.
I visit NZ often, my family lives in Wellington.:)
