I searched around a bit and I didn't find anyone with this idea and I'm shocked!
If this is an original idea, I'm proud of myself
Anyway....check out the picture below. Looks innocent enough, but upon
closer examination you will notice that the fire steel handle is made of none other than fatwood!
I think its a pretty need idea. I mean, you have your tinder and spark right at your finger tips. I just drilled a 3/8" hole in a piece of fatwood
and epoxied it into place. What could be easier and yet make you that much more prepared?
Just FYI, while fatwood is soft and some small slivers have come off on occasion, I've had this on my person all week and it still looks great.
Quite sure it would make it in the bush too!
In case your wondering too....I just used it to make a fire outside and so it still works just like fatwood
