It's cute. Only here could a knife 5/16" thick with an 8" blade be called cute. I was really surprised to find it waiting for me when I got home from work today. I think I know who Santa's elves work for in the off season. Okay, back to the siru. It doesn't much look like the one on the shopping site. The handle is shorter and the blade longer. It looks like a 15" but smaller, very graceful. It's marked with a "K.S." and the trishul. Kesar? The horn handle is as nice as my Kumar or either of my Sher's and that says a lot. Fit and finish is outstanding. Scabbard excellent as well. I can't wait to try it out against the ivy. The karda and chakma are TINY and not nearly as well finished as the khuk, but's that's a minor point. If I could change anything about the rig it would be to skip the itty bitty karda and have a bigger chakma ride piggy back by itself. Even as it is it's a sweet little rig. Cute though it may be it's just what I needed to balance out my collection (if you can call four khuks a collection). One 18" WWII and two 25" sirus just begged for a little guy to take care of cutting tasks not easily accomplished by the WWII or the two dragonslayers. You've made me a very happy man, Uncle.
