I've made a few false starts before and several years ago I even made a hawk like object, but being at Bowies Hammer-in recently, and seeing Alan Longmire's hawk demo got me fired up again, so a few days ago I started pounding on some steel.

15" curly maple handle.
cold blued mild steel head w/ 1084 bit.

Now I just gotta make a short sword with a blued blade and a cm handle, and my war set will be complete.

Thanks guys, glad ya'll like it.

Good looking stuff, doesnt look like a first hawk.

Quint, that's because I didn't show closeups of the weld :D

Hengelo, I agree, Curly Maple is quickly become one of my favorite woods. The color and pattern go with almost everything.

You did'nt build that... better send it to me in all fairness:D That's a beautyfirst !

Congrats on a first attempt--very lovely hawk. Well wear!

Will you be offering them for sale through your site and, if so, for how much?

BTW, I really liked that shaving kit you made up...I mostly shave with a very old unnamed Sheffield made, wood handled, straight razor but I have a few dozen in the collection that I somethines switch to...How much to duplicate a new set?

Again, nice hawk and knives especially from such a young maker...Keep it up and an ABS Master is sure to follow.

Sweet, glad you like it.

Seekher, thanks for your interest,
unfortunately, sales discussion isn't allowed in this area of the forum, so if you could private message me here, message me on FB or email me (Mail@eagleeyeforge.com) we can talk there.

Thanks, Stephen.

Can't believe that's a first hawk, either; you better send it along to me for further testing/evalueation! Looks like it could pass the test, though! Bill
