Flathead threaded inserts help

Hello. I would like to source some flathead threaded inserts for 2-56 type pocket clip screws.

The Hogue Ritter uses these type of inserts. I emailed Hogue a while ago to attempt obtaining these inserts, but received no response. I contacted a seller on ebay that used these type of inserts for his scales and I was told that he sourced them from McMaster-Carr, but he couldn't remember the part#.

Does anyone know where I may obtain these flathead inserts? Thanks ahead.

There are not too many choices for threaded inserts with a flange at McMaster. Since yours looks like it has slits, I suspect it is an expanding threaded insert like this one:

Ordered both. I've been recessing pocket clip mount areas on some handles. The flanged nuts will work great and won't walk out during tightening like regular inserts do.

They almost remind me of chainring nuts and bolts for bicycles?
Not saying they are, but that might give you ideas....

I'm going to leave them as is for now. They don't touch the blade.

I'm messing around recessing the pocket clips on some aftermarket scales. The standard inserts just pop right out. Flanged will keep them in place.

Ok.... they are hidden.
I foolishly didn't know they were in a folder?

They look like they are going to serve you well.
I find choosing hardware can be a big road block in My projects.... haha

Well, I'm probably going to foolishly drill 1/8" holes in any handle where I think a pocket clip needs to be. It may get out of hand.
