looking for the flashlight that has the longest tightest beam in a small package say 2x cr123As sized. total spotlight, any suggestions?

sorry about the typo in the heading, fat fingers and two finger typing

I have 4 Fenix's, ranging from 240 to 350 lumens. The TK11 R2 is the 2nd weakest, but due to its focus has the tightest beam and therefore best throw. It also takes a 18650 battery (in addition to two CR123's), increasing endurance (and power?). It's a good light if you're outside, looking for something on a dark night. ;)

Eagle Tac makes some good stuff - and it's USA.

As far as longest throw, I would defer to the guys at Candlepower Forums for advice on that one.

The Fenix TK35 has two battery tubes side-by-side making it as short as many flashlights using two CR123As. It takes four 123As or two 18650 batts. It is of course, proportionately fatter and heavier than most light taking two 123As.

Here's the kicker. It puts out 820 lumens at the highest setting...Brighter than most car headlights and with a longer throw. I've got one and I love it.

Outer diameter of the head of the TK35 is 44mm. Outer head diameter of a Surefire U2 Ultra is 32&1/2mm. Outer head diameter of a Wolf eyes Super Storm is 57mm. The Fenix TK35 head size is slightly less than midway between the other two.
I put it in my hip pocket frequently to free both hands but admittedly, a hip pants pocket is not the place to wear the light. (It comes with a belt holster). Unlike the really big, heavy LED lights...Wolf Eyes Super Storm, Olight Intimidator or Fenix TK70, it can be put in a coat or jacket pocket with plenty of room to spare.

IMO, the Fenix TK35 is a marvel of small size and impressive brightness. http://www.lightjunction.com/fenix-tk35-xml-flashlight.html
Did I mention I like it alot?
