Just got a tube of the Chris Reeve Fluorinated Grease in the mail and I immediately took down my Small Sebenza 21 and gave it a good cleaning and greased it up. I am quite surprised at the difference in smoothness that the fluorinated grease makes. Now I finally understand the utter smoothness that the Sebenza is capable of and realize the "bank vault" comparison in smoothness. I would certainly recomend this product to anyone that has not already given it a try, it makes a whole world of difference and truly brings out the full potential of the Sebenza!

yes, it's thicker than oil, therefore it can last longer and it adds to the smoothness in an amazing way.

I just recently (for about a month now) started using the CRK grease. I'd been using Militec 1 for years. The grease stays put longer and doesn't attract as much grime in my observation.

Professor.

The CRK grease is great stuff. I use it on all my CRKs of course, as well as the couple of Striders I have. I also put some on my Spyderco Sage 2....basically any framelock I own that has phosphor bronze washers. It produces the smoothest, most consistent action in my opinion.

I use it on everything now. I have tried everything between going dry and mobil 1. Nothing works on any knife as well as the CRK grease. It does not matter the washer type they all love it. You also cannot beat the convenience of the syringe.

hey guys... i just looked on chris' website and i was blown away @ the price. you can find the same stuff for 8 dollars... it just doesnt say chris reeve on the bottle... it says mil comm, the original manufacturer ...

just google "mil comm tw25b" and it will take you to their website where you can purchase it.

or click

... am i wrong? is the mil comm stuff different?

TW-25B is different stuff. That is what my Dad and I both use for weapons. It works excellent mixed with 99% alcohol as a base.

I tried it for knives and it collected to much dirt and I never was happy with how smooth it was. It is not a fluorinated grease at all. The CRK grease is sorta milky clear. The TW-25B is pure white. Completely different stuff.

I'm in the minority. It does stay on longer but in no way is it make my CRK's smoother that when I apply some of my gun lubricants.

I'm not him, but Hoppe's #9 gun grease is the best lube I've tried and is what I use on my small Insigno, even smoother than more runny/liquid lubes like 3-in-1 or teflon-based greases like from Finish Line (note: I have *not* tried CRK's fluorinated grease).

I mixed the militec1 grease and the oil together and I find it works better than the crk grease

I used hoppes #9 for 5 or so breakdowns and I have used the flourinated grease for about the same amount of time on a diff sebbie(I was comparing them).

I find that the flourinated seems to last much longer and also does not attract as many dirt/dust particles, the hoppes makes the knife super smooth, I just like the fact that the CRK grease lasts longer.

Hope this helps

Thanks . I'll have to grab a tube of CRK lube.

What I use to clean and help lube is Ballistol. This stuff is amazing and has many many many functional uses. After a while it helps to form a coating of some sort that makes my guns super smooth. You do not need to lube anymore after that. I clean my knives with Balistol then I will use the CRK grease sometimes. That seems to work really well.
