Folders in wet environments?

I had my ZT 301 with me on a lake camping trip and used it for some wet work and it was submerged in fresh water a few times. I blew as much of the moister out of the knife as I could and just carried it.

What is the proper maintenance procedure for using folders in wet situations. I really dont want to take this knife apart. I have done a few folders and they can be tricky, for me at least, to reassemble.

Doesnt seem to be any corrosion on my knife that I can see.

I'm with you on not liking to disassemble my knives. When I get home, I soak it in soapy water, rinse it off, blow-dry it, and oil it back up. Haven't had any problems so far, but most of my folders are stainless.

I just White Lightning Clean Streak (its basically brake cleaner) to clean up and lube with either Triflow, Boeshield T9 or Militec-1.

That said, I've been keeping my Native S30V lubed with aresol T9 and its been on plenty of canoe trips and swimmings with me. No issues with that. Would not want to treat a carbon blade the same.

Warm water and dawn liquid soap then rinse with warm water. Shake out excess water and let drain. THen use WD40 to remove moisture and lube with your favorite lube. Mine varies from Mil-Tec to Ballistol.
