After my fascination with Persian style blades and then hawkbill blades/karambits, I am looking to add more folders to my collection with such blades:

I do not know if you see similarities between the two models, because they are quite different, but what I mean is a blade which is broad at its base and has a pointy tip, it almost looks like a triangle. A better explanation is probably a dagger/bayonet style blade, which is wider than most daggers. I already have the Hold Out 2 on the way, I am waiting for the Protech TR-4 to become available. Are there any others that I am missing?

The Native is kind of small for my taste. The Strider AR is a great choice, but it seems it is not available anymore (Striders are new to me, so I am not aware of their history), I am wondering about the SMF, but I want to see if there are any other choices.

All smaller than 4" blades, but these are what I have that somewhat fit the shape of what you've pictured.
Spyderco Lum Chinese
Kershaw Salvo/Barrage
Kershaw Avalanche
Emerson CQC-10

Also check out the HTM-DDR Maxx.

i think the blade shape your looking for is called a "Spear point". perhaps a modified drop point.

CRKT Fire spark perhaps?

It won't be easy, but you could try looking for a Benchmade Bogusewski 650 Spike. They've been discontinued for many years, although I still see cheap copies once in a while.

Yeah the 4 inch thing kind of left my mind when I thought of the Native.

SOG Aegis would be a good choice if it was a bit bigger, was made by someone else, lost the assist.

Today I was carrying a Recon 1 Spear-point but it's not quite the arrowhead shape.

malente, this is the Cold Steel Hold Out II. There are two other version of it, with a 3 and a 6 inch blade. The Aegis does have the blade shape that I am looking for.

The Al Mar and the Ti Lite have a dagger style blades, but I want the base of the blade to be wider. It is like having something like this blade in a folder version:

I could find a better picture to represent my idea, sorry for that.

You do realize the blade in that image is outlawed by the Geneva Convention, right? That is a 3 edged blade which is highly illegal because it produces wounds that are nearly impossible to stitch/suture.

Good luck finding anything close to that...;)

I actually did not realize until now that there is a third edge. Very, very bad example...

Does this look any better?
