As a hunter, I've always been fond of folders with an added saw blade. I know most SAK have them but I'm talking about lockback folders that have them. I have several of the discontinued Cabelas big game lockback folders, Buck Selector, Schrade Buzzsaw Trapper, Case xchange a blade and a Puma Game Warden. Speaking of Puma, they just came out with a new version of the Game Warden called the SGB Warden. Parts are made in Germany and assembled in China. It is well made for the money. Anybody else use these type of folders?

I have been wanting a Schrade Buzzsaw trapper for years but haven't gotten one. Yet. I too am interested to hear peoples thoughts on them.

Eye-Brand knives from Germany has a sodbuster with a saw blade. It ain't cheap, but it's nice.

I use a case hunter trapper model and it has the trapper big blade, gut hook (kinda useless but it works) and the bone saw. It is one of my favorite hunters!

For a while, I was pretty fond of the SOG Revolver. The saw is excellent. The knife isn't bad either. I don't do that much sawing and I have since shifted to a fairly good fixed blade for general use in the woods.

I have an old Buck cross lock with the saw blade, and a USA made Schrade Buzz Saw Trapper. both handy in the woods or around the yard.

I keep a USA made Schrade Buzz Saw Trapper in the pouch on my SP-50. The saw cuts well.

My first serious knife was an Eye Brand German lockback folder with saw blade, bought on base in England in 1975. Still have it.
The saw blade does not lock.
Newest one is a sizable Boker with stag panels that's quite nice. Both blades lock on this one.
They can be pretty practical in the outdoors on occasion.

There's a USA made Remington Heritage series folding hunter in green jigged bone with a saw blade that has a gut hook on the end.. I think if you look around, you can still find them.

The Case XX Changer is still available, and it has a dandy saw blade. Mine has processed a lot of dead animals over the years. :D

always fancied a buzzsaw trapper myself

I've an Vic SAK ALOX Farmer thats my go too woods folder

I like the saw on the victorinox sak's

The best idea i ever saw in saws on knives was a gerber multitool i think, it used jigsaw blades so you could carry extras and replace them

You could make or modify a lockback to take sawzall blades to do the same thing only bigger.

This knife is a real sleeper. Great to see it is still being made. It also works well as an all around woods set, camping, hunting and fishing. I have the stag handled version.

Sawing section serves also as a cap remover
Lockable 440C stainless steel clip blade

Blade length: 4"

I've owned a small Gerber Blade Changer (similiar to the above Case) for many years, but no longer use it. The saw blade (which is a good one) would get so gummed-up with Deer tallow during field dressing chores that I couldn't close the blade or remove it from the frame ---- not good.

I have a Vic Farmer with a saw blade that I like --- for cutting notches or other small work.

I have 3 bladed Browning that includes a saw blade, also a couple of SAK's w/ saw blades

for hunting I find it's just as easy to go to the edge of the brisket (cartilage not bone) and use a knife to open the chest cavity

The only two I have are not lockbacks, the Victorinox Farmer, and the Remington R4 scout knife, made by Camillus.
