Here's some direct size and handle shape comparisons with a Chris Reeves Yarborough, Spartan/Harsey Difensa, and a couple others for good measure.

Obviously the steel, materials, fit and finish on the Difensa are superior/more expensive but I was slightly annoyed to discover the 120-dollar Fighter has a more ergonomic grip than the 500-dollar Difensa. The Difensa grip is super comfortable and I have no complaints, but it feels just slightly blocky or square in the hand when compared to the Fighter's grip.

I love it. To me, Kabar is finally building some fine knives thanks to Spartan Blades. It's called the Spartan Harsey Kukri. I got it off one of the biggest online knife stores. SomethingCenter. I noticed after I ordered it that they were out. But it is new and they will be showing up all over. I have a condor and a becker 21 kukri and this is by far my favorite. It is 1/4 inch thick.View attachment 2227321

I really like it. I just now watched 2 different videos and they had nothing but good to say about it. You may want to watch them, just google it.
Thanks, been looking to pick up another kukri. This one is it!

Love the finish on the Spartan / Kabar Fighter! Could you explain how you did it? I would love to try it.

Great comparison! I've never officially owned a kukuri style but heard it to be true they are more effective choppers and cutters than your traditional survivor/combat styles.

Received the S/H Fighter today.

I paid the same price for this and the 3V SRK ($110). While the handle on the S/H is slightly more comfortable (and possibly more durable) and it is made in the USA, I feel the Taiwan made SRK in 3V steel is easily the better overall value at this price point.
