For those who have multiple Cold Steel models...

...are they all that unique, or do they perform similarly? I am thinking primarily as a woods tool, not as a weapon. Obviously the Rifleman is in a different weight class, and the Trail hawk has the small bit, but what about the rest?

I have a Frontier hawk... wondering if another model will be all that different.

I'd go with, probably not much different. They are different weights though if I understand correctly. I have the pipe hawk and a couple other hawks ... I don't find any of them especially useful but absolutely prefer the pipe hawk or any other hawk with a poll of some kind. It greatly improves the balance, or makes it more like a hatchet, which I call an improvement.

CoS, thanks for your reply... that is what I was thinking, too. Biggest difference is poll vs no poll. I have done hammering with the back of the Frontier hawk. Not great, but got the tent stakes in.
