I forged this from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rd 58- 60 with attention to a fine grain throughout the blade
Flat grind with forged texture on the flats
Stabilized maidou wood handle
Overall length: 11 inches
Blade: 6 1/2 inches
Thickness is 3/32 tapering to the edge and tip
I raised the handle up at a slight angle to help keep knuckles off the cutting board and rounded the top of the blade because some folks like to choke up over the spine.
