I can't beleive I am at work without my knives! I forget them maybe two or three times a year. Usually it turns out to be a bad day at work. Today has been O.K. Although I have reached for them a few times.:(
One hour of work left, think I might make it. I have three machete's in the truck just in case.:D

Not a good feeling at all. I don't like flying any more because my wife makes me use carry on which means I have to leave my EDC's at home..

I hate being with out a knife!! Yes, I feel naked. I hate the fact that I can not fly with out a knife!!

Stupid question Mushroom, but I have never flown believe it or not... Are you allowed any knife at all in your carry on? Like a small slippy or something?

Nope, I know nodda about aeroplane travel!

I'm don't fly often, so if I'm wrong hopefully some of our more well-travelled members can correct me, but I believe most airlines policy is no knives what so ever in carry on. I think some airlines are still even keeping nail clippers out of carry ons.

I've for gotten my knife a few time, its like the worst feeling in the world. You got to reach for it, and its not there. man i hate that.

Done the same. To keep me from that naked, anxious feeling, I keep a couple of extras (SAK's, Leatherman) in the car for those days when I do forget the regulars.

- I feel naked to when I forget my EDC & I think this will be the day someone attacks me or I get in an accident & need to cut my seat belt off.

- Do not fly with a knife on you or in your carry on. Put it in your checked luggage only! You do not want to try to beat a fellony charge from TSA!

As do I, but I carry a super tough plastic and carbon fiber knife on with me. Yes it is a big risk, but I just can't not have something on me. I come prepared to handle many emergency situations.

No such thing as a stupid question Buck 268. No knives of any type are allowed. If ya carry one and they find it you lose it. Immediately!! I don't even carry fingernail clippers anymore. You can back your knife in you checked baggage no problem there, (except for the possibility of being ripped off by baggage handlers)!! Remember these are the folks who zero in on the baby and gramma terrorist's...

Hate when that happens. Used to stash one at work (before I retired, ha!) just in case I somehow got dressed without putting at least my SAK in my pocket. then I got sensible and started stashing them all over: briefcase, truck, jacket, etc.

No, I have plenty of xanax and ambien at my disposal so I'll pass on the Prozac:D

Sounds like a great idea one for the desk drawer at work.

That's exactly why I keep at least one stashed in my desk and one in my car and anywhere else I can think of. My wife and I keep several scattered around the house so we don't always have to have one in our pockets at home. After all, sometimes pockets just aren't there!

I've gone without a knife maybe once or twice in the last year... if that. I even bring a knife with me on the way to buy a new knife. Chances are, the next time i can't bring a knife somewhere will be the same day it would have really came in handy for saving a crashed bus full of kids or nuns or something rediculous like that. That's about the kinda luck i have.

Even though I have my own car and motorbike my mom brought in several knives I had stashed in her car. I find Moras make the best stash knives as they are good and cheap. If you get the stainless(I don't usually like stainless but the sandvick in the moras is exellent) you can leave them for years. I put a snivel kit
and a lighter ,sportsbars and survival candles in a pencil case with the mora.
