Vincent Roberts and Faisal Yamin recently had a bit of a dispute and according to everything I have seen, as well as Vince's (or his wife? or whoever admins their Facebook page) own actions, I have to side with Faisal and say there is some shady activity going on here.

Apparently, Faisal and Vince agreed on a number for the new Valkyrie II. Faisal was to be provided with 12 units.
Vince sent him 6, kept 6 and told Faisal he'd send him the *wholesale* value of the other 6 once they sell.

In the past, Vince had done me a small favor by letting me know about an available Valkyrie I, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt...
I posted a very fair and neutrally phrased question asking Vince to explain his side of this dispute, and his answer was to refuse to comment and kicked me from the "Fans of the Fort" Facebook group... :rolleyes:

Until I see or hear some sort of explanation from the FHCK side, I really have no choice but to side with Faisal and take him at his word that Vince basically jacked him for 6x Valkyrie IIs. :thumbdn:
Disconcerting to see one of my favorite designers treated this way.

Vince, feel free to explain your side of what I'm sure is a "simple miscommunication", but you won't be able to delete the question and remove me from the page :)

You are asking FHCK to speak for himself when Faisal Yamin hasn't told his side. Are you his lawyer?
 
I'm friends with Faisal on Facebook. He posted his side, including emails between the two. Otherwise, what am I just making this up?
The post is mostly just to let people know Vince is being shady.
On the website, Faisal's name no longer appears anywhere on the product info. He's lucky his logo is still on the blade... although I'm guessing that is on David, and beyond Vince's control.

One party is being forthcoming and the other is not. Not at all.
A reputable designer has claimed he's been ripped off. Questions to the accused have been met with cricket chirps. What else do you need to know?
 
Sir, before you call Fort Henry Custom Knives and Vince "bad" you should get Vince's side. I have been buying knives from him for years and he has always been honest and fair in all his dealing with me.

We have some drama involving 2 people, none of which have posted here. Instead we have a bystander stirring the soup. That is not what this forum is for. What else do I need to know? Why are you bringing Facebook drama here? Are you Fasial's appointed representative? I hear claims of being ripped off all day, from all kinds of people, for years now. Just because someone says something, doesn't make it a cold hard fact. The best thing that can happen is to let the people involved directly actually work things out, or not. Either way, things end up the same. If the Fasial is so disturbed by this, he can come he and fight his own battles. We don't want, or need any "he said, she said", 3rd party/person drama.
Reading this probably wouldn't hurt either.
