Scott,

Thanks so much for this ! Cant wait for it to come
Home ! And for me to start using it as a 12 foot
Apricot tree i cut down about two weeks ago !
That this polaris should make short work of !
By the way i sent another paypal your way let
Me know if you got it !

Frank

Im so happy that this blade finally gets to come home ! I cant wait to start using it... It will be backed up By my psk !

Frank

Finally got the polaris today in the mail !
Cant wait to work it out ! hopefully i'll get
To go to the sandia's (mountains) this
Weekend and see what I can do.with this
Knife ! So far just handling it I know I won't
Be disappointed ! I just want to thank scott
Again as always his craftmenship is top notch !
as well as his customer service ...

Frank

Will do scott any suggestions as to what to do
To put it through its paces ? Besides whittling
Feather sticks etc ! I'd like to see how it does
On game prep ! But That will to wait til later
In the year ... Scott have you tried to prep any
Game You've taken with S7 ?

Frank

Do some batoning on small rounds that the blade length can handle. Make a one stick fire, always a fun skill to do. I haven't used it yet for game prep. Hopefully this fall.
Scott

I need to try out all of my fixed blades making one stick fires this weekend. My Polaris and mini Kephart should do pretty well.

Hey all,

So ive done some lite chore duty with My polaris !
You know cut cords, bags, some food prep and so
Far the blade is still sharp and not a Mark On it
So This sunday i want to baton some Of That
Apricot tree i have out back and do some other
Odd jobs with it !... Imo i think its one Of the best
Bushcraft/backpacking/woods buming knives
There is ! And so far im really liking the S7 steel
Its made Of as well as That extra inch i believe
That extra inch is a great upgrade to an already
Awesome knife ! Everyone have a good weekend

Frank

I really like the Polaris with the 5 inch blade.Scott superior craftsmanship as always.FRC505 you will have to post some pics of you using it on a big 6 x 6 elk this fall!

Lets see some action pics! I recently had a chance to handle a regular size Polaris that belongs to SHS. Wow, what a knife. The handle fills your hand, dare I say...perfectly.

Bigcountry,

Ive been think Of entering the draw This but i need a
Rifle and a big boar tusker first for the rifle im thinking
Either a winchester model 70 or a remington 700 as
For caliber i think 30-06 is good for most anything here
in new mexico including elk and a bb tusker to split the
Bones as My polaris may not be hefty enough to do so
What do you guys thinks ?... Action pics to come as soon
As i convince the wife to let me use the camera !

Frank

Frank you are absolutely correct about the 30/06.It is a great all around caliber. You can use the 150 grain bullets for pronghorn and mule deer and jump up to the 180 grain bullets for elk.I have an 8 inch BBT that I have used for completely gutting, skinning and quartering whitetail deer.Elk bone is some of the toughest bone there is.I would opt out for a saw for splitting an elks pelvis.Just my 2 cents.I use a boning saw to cut through the back bone and take both hind quarters off that away then cut at the top of the neck and bring in the rib cage and neck. The front shoulders I peel both off with my knife.Dam I have till October and I am fired up for shooting some deer with my bow.

Hey all,

Well I finally took some pics but cant post them
Ill see if I can send them to Scott so he can post
Them for me ? Anywho I chopped some apricot
Tree limbs as well as pry'd some of the bark off the
Stump ! Chopped down some type of plant I
Dont know the name of but my polaris made
Very short work of it then cleaned it up and I
Sliced some apples for the kiddo's !

Frank

Ps. Bigcountry, my Brother in law has a couple
Of long bows and ive been practicing with one
Im getting pretty good to I can almost hit the
side of a barn ! Lol what arrow heads do you use
On deer ? On a side note I May try my hand hunting
Hogs with my ruger redhawk in .44 magnum !
