First attempt at the Norse stacked bar construction-three bars of cable damascus, 5160 edge bar.
Ulfr-tonn, the wolf's tooth.

Thanks guys.
The etching-using-nail polish-as-a resist looks an awful lot like the old forge-welded inlays...

so, just to get an idea, what are the specs on that and how much would a similar piece cost as a bare blade, ready for mounting?

This ones a 9" blade, 14(ish) OAL, 3/16 to 3/32" distal taper.
If I do it again i would go 1/4" to 1/8 or so in the taper, just for better feel.
I want to say $300 or so-I didn't do the best job o timekeeping on this because it was kinda in between working on another pattern welded seax that was the main goal that day.

interested in seeing how some vine or bird patterns would turn out using that nail polish resistor :D looks like something worth continued experimentation

sooo....
it took a few months to decide what I wanted to do with it, but here's the wolf's tooth with hemp cord wrapped oak scales and a leather covered wood scabbard.
