I’ll post up some pics tomorrow.
Here’s my brief initial review of the knife:
The Baby Core I received is beyond my expectations. Perfectly centered, locks tight with no play in any direction, the detent is well tuned and the blade rockets out smoothly due to the bearing washers. The ergonomics are done well as always with a vox design, very comfortable with a solid three finger grip and the pinky hanging on barely (small to medium hands). If you choke up on the forward choil, it’s a little tight for the index finger but I don’t have any concerns with cutting myself if careful. I can’t speak to hot spots until I bear down and cut more with it. But I don’t anticipate anything major. It has a nice full feel in the hand due to wide handle.
The scales are FRN (well done good texture) with full steel liners. The liners aren’t milled out so the knife feels heavy for its size, but it’s still under 3 ounces and it just makes it feel insanely solid.
The wire pocket clip performs like any from a Spyderco knife and it remains a fantastic clip choice that carries deep in the pocket.
Lastly, the grind on the blade is PERFECTION. It looks like a FFG with a reverse tanto/drop point style blade. Similar to the Osborne (but FFG as previously stated), but stubby and stout. The version I have is black washed and it’s gorgeous. Not like the Kershaw blackwash, it’s more subdued. Lastly, it came razor sharp.
If you’re on the fence about this one, Humpty Dumpty it and fall off. You won’t regret it!
